The Nestlé Cocoa Plan aims to help farmers address the challenges they face through three pillars – better farming, better lives and better cocoa.
The Nestlé Cocoa Plan helps farmers to run profitable farms through farmer training to improve farming practices, better quality plants to improve yield and disease resistance and respecting the environment to avoid deforestation.
Improving social conditions by tackling child labour through transparency and monitoring to help elimination, promoting gender equality to improve household revenues and improving water and sanitation.
Sustainable good quality cocoa by building long term loyal customer - farmer Group relationships, supply chain traceability to the farmer and rewarding NCP farmers for certification and good quality.
The Nestlé Cocoa Plan covers Nestlé International Travel Retail’s confectionery brands such as KitKat, Smarties, After Eight, Quality Street and Nestlé SWISS. By 2025 Nestlé aims to source 100% of cocoa for Nestlé confectionery through the Nestlé Cocoa Plan.
